The Ballad of Kyo the Ronin was my senior illustration thesis. I sought to explore the overlap of the Western and Samurai genres and construct a world that was a synthesis of the two. My goal was to highlight the convergence of storytelling between two cultures that have been exchanging influences for decades. The final result is this 36 page book documenting the development of this project over the course of my time at PNCA.
