Tokusatsu World is an illustration series featuring original characters inspired by the heroes and monsters from classic Japanese tokusatsu movies and shows such as Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Godzilla, and Power Rangers. The word “Tokusatsu” translates to “special effects” but specifically refers to heavy use of rubber suits, miniatures, and practical effects and stunts to bombastic and often cheesy results.
